Metropolitan districts are particularly affected by rising rental costs, with some local families forced to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/british-columbia\/single-dad-affordable-housing-vancouver-1.6899715\">relocate due to a lack of affordable housing<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While several factors may contribute to this, some have pointed to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/hbr.org\/2019\/04\/research-when-airbnb-listings-in-a-city-increase-so-do-rent-prices\">Airbnb as one of the reasons<\/a>\u00a0for the rental crisis.
